Our Pastor Eric L Hood
While most pastors accept their calling later in life, our pastor knew from the age of 12 that God had placed a calling upon his life to be a leader. Born on September 11, 1968 to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Hood, the oldest grandchild on both sides would attend church with his parents at Grace Cathedral Fellowship Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Jerome S Wilcox and Elder Mae E Wilcox.
An active member of the choir he knew that his voice and his prayers were heard by God. During his teenage years he was told God placed a calling upon his life. Being a young man he knew that God could and would keep him. It wasn’t until he enlisted in the United States Army and stationed in Germany that Pastor Hood accepted the complete calling for himself.
With the help Bishop Charles Wiley S.C. and Bishop Kevin L Betton of Savannah Georgia Pastor Hood began the walk of serving God in and out of Church. He got to know God for himself and became an active servant. After returning state side God blessed him to become a minister under the leadership of Bishop Thomas L. Holsey of Dover Delaware.
While a member of Morning Star International Church of God in Christ. Pastor Hood was instrumental in starting the Youth Explosion. He invited the youth of the district to come together and worship God in spirit and in truth. The weeklong

revival would include local youth Minister's, Elder's and choirs. The revival was started to show the youth that no matter how young they were God would use them for his kingdom.
Pastor Hood prepared to move to Atlanta Georgia. There he met and married his wife Melinda Hood. They are parents to Kelvin age 24, Leslie age 23, Michael age 18 and Nicholas age 17. Together the family decided that with the blessings God bestowed on them they would start Greater Works Christian Ministries here in Rome Georgia. A strong non denominational church that believes in true worship of God.
